On Birthday Sunday we celebrate anyone present who has recently had a birthday. This happens immediately following our regular worship time when names are added to a list, then singing happy birthday and enjoying a free birthday treat. Typically fresh Dunkin' Donuts, with each person receiving one (normally two flavor options to choose from). We celebrate birthdays because we know each person matters and has purpose at every stage of life, as having been made by God. In fact, God reminds us that He has a plan for us and knew us even before we were born. We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139).
